Desk notes
The Academy Desk
Every guide on World Media Academy Games passes across one shared desk. It is not a physical office, more a shared set of habits: a running list of reader questions, a calendar of planned articles and a rule that nothing goes online until two of us have read it. This page explains how that desk works and what it spends its time on.
Who sits at the desk
Four writers share the work, each using a pen name and looking after a particular corner of the site:
- Rosmund handles slots: volatility, return figures, game features and the way mobile play has changed sessions.
- Corvina writes about casino table games and social card games, starting every guide from the rulebook.
- Lisandro covers sports-betting terms, prices and margins, always with worked examples marked as examples.
- Wilmetta writes the money-habit guides, edits most drafts and looks after the safer-play notes on every page.
None of us hold professional titles in gambling, finance or health, and we do not pretend to. What we offer is careful reading, plain writing and a willingness to fix mistakes quickly.
What the desk works on
New guides
Most new articles begin as a reader question or a term we found ourselves explaining twice. We check whether an existing guide already answers it before writing a new one. Recent additions include explainers on bookmaker margins and Capsa Susun.
Older articles
The site has been online for some time, and earlier pieces did not always meet the standard we keep today. We gradually rework them: clearer structure, fewer bold claims, an added note on budgets and local law. Their addresses stay the same so that links from elsewhere keep working.
Things we leave out
Part of the desk's job is saying no. We turn down topics that would require us to guess at numbers, predict results or recommend that anyone spend more. We also avoid pages that exist only to rank for a search term without helping the reader.
A week at the desk
- Early in the week, the inbox is sorted and corrections are fixed first.
- Midweek, drafts are written and swapped between writers for a second read.
- Towards the weekend, finished guides go online and older pieces are revisited.
The rhythm is unhurried on purpose. A guide that takes an extra week but gets the rules right is worth more than a fast one that does not.
Get in touch with the desk
If you spot an error or have a question you would like answered in a future guide, use the Write to the Academy page. Every message reaches the four of us.

Why our guides stay plain
It would be easy to fill a casino guide with big promises and bright buttons. We prefer to explain how a game works, show what it costs and leave the decision to the reader.
That keeps our headlines modest. It also means a reader can come back in a year and still trust what the page says.
